David C. Westcott has more than 25 years of experience as a marketing and media executive, promoting some of the largest brands on Wall Street including Citi, J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley. He formed Westcott Associates Marketing & Media LLC in 2010 to work with an array of financial services companies including wealth management, asset management and investment banking firms.
David has deep experience working with Registered Independent Advisors (RIA) and helping them develop and execute marketing, branding and messaging strategies that target prospects, existing clients and the greater communities in which they operate. Westcott Associates teamed with Dynasty Financial and assisted more than 35 advisor groups in creating their own unique and memorable brands as they transitioned to independent firms.
Prior to forming Westcott Associates, David was Executive Director for marketing and advertising for Morgan Stanley / Smith Barney. His responsibilities included high-net-worth target marketing, institutional equity services, private client services and Smith Barney Television. As the director of marketing and advertising for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Corporate Client Group, he successfully marketed the largest equity compensation plans business in the world. David also managed a multi-million dollar live broadcast television facility for Smith Barney for more than a decade.
David earned his master’s degree in film/communications from Emerson College and his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland. Over his career in the industry, he has built an extensive network of skilled marketing and media professionals.
